Sewa Valencia is a carrier of the Medicine of the Drum, a sacred calling she has upheld for more than 30 years. She gathers Indigenous women in sacred circle, using the drum as a vessel for healing, remembrance, and connection—to ancestors, the Earth, and one another.

Through decades of cultural leadership, women’s circles, ceremony, and youth empowerment, Sewa has become a trusted spiritual guide and culture bearer. Her work uplifts Indigenous knowledge, centers the voices of Elders, and creates spaces where inter-tribal women reclaim leadership and community strength.
